About Wood Fired Pizza
Wood Fired Pizza is more than a traveling pizza oven. It is an approach to capture a bit of the past and reveal it in a relevant fashion for today’s customers. A handmade imported Italian oven sits quietly on the back of a 1956 Ford F250 flatbed and produces true artisan pizza. The dough is hand stretched and lightly tossed to the perfect thin crust and topped with sun ripened California tomatoes and a variety of toppings. The mixed burning hardwoods create temperatures over 800 degrees and flavors that can’t be copied. The pizzas flash-bake in the wood fired oven and come out with a crispy crust and melty mozzarella in less than two minutes. Even if you are not into cheese or want something special to top your pizza, we are happy to meet your needs.
Chef Matthew Hans has been in the food business for over 10 years and trained with several amazing chefs and has most recently trained with Master Pizziola Francesco Marra. We will soon be offering cooking classes so stay tuned.
You can find Wood Fired Pizza at many local farmers markets topping the pizza with fresh, local, and organic toppings bought that day from the market. Our goal is to use the best ingredients available to produce the finest quality pizza.
